Donovan Manning began his journey practicing the art of Yoga seven years ago. During this time, in 2007, he was certified as an official instructor. Donovan possesses a deep respect for form and alignment, which when combined with his craving to constantly build on his knowledge base, allows him to teach a number of different classes and to interact with students from beginner to advanced levels. Thus, although his foundation is deeply embedded in the Iyengar Method, Donovan has broadened his approach and methods, enabling him to teach his fellow trainers, doctors, physical therapists and other colleagues in Ashtanga, Vinyassa Flow, Armit and Gentle Yoga.
In wanting to expand his horizons, Donovan also explored and secured his certification in the Classical Method of Pilates. He teaches at all levels, although he is particularly known for his Pilates Challenge classes which focus on Pilates work at the intermediate to advanced level. Donovan is also certified on the Pilates Reformer and regularly conducts private classes in this method with a special interest in working with individuals who are recovering from various injuries.
Donovan maintains a self-practice of the Ashtanga Primary and Intermediate series combined with the Iyengar style. His mission in Yoga and Pilates is to use the holistic arts to heal, nurture and care for the complete person.
